Johnny
Montgomery is a real estate agent for ERA
Oxford Realty. He has been named to the Million
Dollar Club for real estate sales every year
for over the past 20 years. Known as "The Running Realtor," Johnny
has a history of athletic competition. Eight
times he has finished the Ironman Triathlon
-- often called the world's most challenging
athletic competition.
Before entering real estate, Johnny Montgomery was one of the top salesmen nationally for the W. T. Grant retail chain. "When they went out of business, I wanted a job that was straight commission," he said. He also wanted weekends to renew his involvement in athletics. In real estate, he found both the challenge and the freedom he was seeking.
"I made the Million Dollar Club my very first year, & I've made it every year since," he said. He has reached that goal over 20 times since & is currently at the Gold Plateau status level -- because he produced between $10 million and $14 million in sales in 2001. The only way he could have done this is by taking care of his clients. He has the ability to sell your house or find the right one for you, and like everything else ... he always finishes ahead of the rest.
Author Jerry W. Henry released a book in 2001 named, "Johnny Montgomery, 'The Alabama Ironman', a biography." Johnny is a devoted Christian & belongs to Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. He says, "I hope people who read this book find what I have. I'm a competitor and a good Realtor, but I'd rather be known as a good father." His two daughters Megan & Meridith, are 14 and 24, respectively. His daughters, his brother and other family members often travel with him to competitive events.
"I'm on my knees in the morning thanking God that I get to do what I want to do," Johnny said.*
